We are running a Windows NT4 server, which is serving a number of HP LaserJet printers, using HP Jet Admin.

When a print job is complete, a Windows Messenger Service dialogue box (Event ID 26) notifies the user that the job is complete.

I have searched in HP JetAdmin and the printer setup and cannot see any way to disable.

All advice greatly appreciated.

Regards

Go into your "printers" settings from the start menu. Then go into "file", "print server properties".

There should be a checkbox under the advanced tab that deals with print notification.
