Disable homepage in IE6

I am looking to disable my homepage that is greyed out.
I have managed to unlock it in the registry but when I reboot it is still locked?

Any ideas?

In REGEDIT you need to change the
key

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control Panel\HomePage

and change it to "00 00 00 00"

I have tried that and it works but when I reboot it returns to being greyed out?

Its probably something a program running at startup returning them back to defaults.

I assume your not on a network with domain server?
What programs are in the startup folder?
Run MSCONFIG whats running in the Startup tab?
What is the homepage set to currently?
