My users are running a Foxpro application which uses DBF files.

However some of my users are illegally changing the content of the DBF file by using Excel to open and modify the contents.

Is there a way to disable Excel's ability to open and use DBF files?
Such as can an Excel registry entry be changed, etc. to accomplish this?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Thanks,

Not really sure...you could try going into Control Panel, ODBC and removing their dBase Files driver. However, if they're savvy enough, they'll reinstall it.
