Hi,

I am working on an embedded linux.

I need to manage the clock myself and I don't want to have any daylight saving feature.

How can I set the timezone to do this?

Thanks in advance

Try setting it to UTC or GMT, whichever you prefer. Not sure of the advantages or disadvantages of either...

Lots of useful info here about UTC vs. GMT:

Particularly intesresting for you is this part:

Wikipedia said:
UTC is the time system used for many Internet and World Wide Web standards. In particular, the Network Time Protocol, designed to synchronize the clocks of many computers over the Internet (usually to that of a known accurate atomic clock), uses UTC.

As a result I'd recommend using UTC.

And regarding my question about what the difference is between GMT and UTC:

Wikipedia said:
For most practical and legal-trade purposes, the fractional difference between UTC and UT (or GMT) is inconsequentially small, and for this reason UTC is colloquially called GMT sometimes, even if this is not technically correct.
