Disable Confirmation When Closing

Whenever I try to close a window browser using "window.close()" I'm receiving the following message:

The Web page you are viewing is trying to close the window.
Do you want to close this window?

I want the closing of the window to be automatic. Is there a way to disable this confirmation using javascript? Any idea would be greatly appretiated. Thank you very much.

You can't. Its a security thing. Imagine working on a form and someone closes your browser without your knowledge.

You can try this:

window.opener=self;
window.close();

To add to that, while it works in most browsers, the day will come when it stops working, and the security messages are back... so don't rely on it for ever!
