Is there a way to disable IE's auto complete feature for a ColdFusion input box?

this is more of a browser issue that a CF issue. to turn off the auto complete feature in your browser go to:

tools->internet options->Content->Auto complete

and uncheck the forms option on the page. Apply all the screens. close down the browser and open it up again. the autocomplete should now have stopped.

If it hasn't then go back into the autoComplete section and click 'clear forms'

Hope this helps!

Tony

Thanks for the replies:

arperry - My customer does not want to disable the Auto Complete feature in her browser as she likes it for other things. She has filled in a 'name' field incorrectly numerous times and blames it on auto complete, (which is BS if you ask me) so she wants us to try to disable it on our end.

Wullie - Does autocomplete=&quot;off&quot; work for <cfinput type = &quot;text&quot;> boxes as well as 'regular' <input type>

Thank You
