Directory Reference

I split a database a placed the back end on the H:\ network drive. When I installed the front end on the user's computer and linked the tables, the H:\ drive on the user's computer is referenced as G:\. On both my computer and the user's computer the drive has the same name (i.e., 'ABC01').

How do I create a relative refernce to the network drive? I want to prevent having to change the directory references each time I install a new front end on the users' computers.

You NEED to use UNC/URL referenes.

I'm familiar with the Linked Table Manager.

It is helpful in pointing to the correct directory when linking tables. I have hardcoded references to the H:\ drive in reports and macros.

I was hoping that there was some syntax that would allow the drive reference name to be hardcoded (i.e., \\'ABC01'\SPCRS\Groups\spcrs.txt) instead of G:\\SPCRS\Groups\spcrs.txt.
