Director Server Inventory note displaying

We have IBM Director 4.20.2 installed to manage our IBM PCs. Although the inventory was working, which ever method we use to view the inventory of a PC we just get "Starting Task..." in the status bar and then it returns to "Ready". This was working and we have no problem collecting the inventory from the PCs. Anyone have any ideas?

I really do not want to have to reinstall the Director Server yet again.
