DirTrfr is used to connect 2 calls already in progress on the same line appearance, one active and 1 on hold. The user with both calls on their phone scrolls to both calls, press Select softkey, then DirTrfr softkey. The 2 calls are then 'direct transfered' to each other and the original 'middle' party is dropped out of the call. It's similar to Join but the middle party is dropped from the call where in Join all 3 parties are 'joined' together. I found this in the CiscoPress Cisco CallManager Best Practices Book. Great reference book !!!!
