Direct Connect to Prologix with ASA or Terranova

I have both of these softwares and have not used them for a while. I do not do much Definity work. I want direct connect my laptop to the switch. Out of the processor is a octopuss cable that has Modem, DCE, Terminal and a 25 pair amp connector. I am assuming I connect my laptop serial port to the DCE plug. I set up my terminal program to emulate AT&T513 and such. It won't connect. No response from the screen when any keys pressed.

Does anyone have a cheat sheet on software settings and cabling to quickly connect a laptop to a definity switch?

7/n/1, 9600, and you should be on the "terminal" connector, not "DCE".
