Direct Cable Connection

I'm trying to transfer some files from an old Win 98 system on to one running XP Home using Direct Cable Connection. The connection establishes OK but a password is demanded for access to IPC$ and also PRINTER.

The 'Allow Directly Connected Devices without password' box has been ticked in the Users tab for the connection on XP.

Any ideas?
