I got up this morning and tried to show somebody a screen saver and all of the sudden I get "No hardware Accelerated Direct 3D devices were found" and "Could not find any compatible 3D devices" . I have no idea why this has happened...unless my kid did something to the computer. I reinstalled DirectX and reinstalled my video drivers but still get the same thing. Anybody help me with this....it's driving me nuts.

WinME 750Mhz 256MB Ram

Have you tried re-installing the latest DirectX which I think is either 9 or 8. Did you maybe install an earlier version of DirectX? Also did you download the latest video drivers or just re-install from the CD. I would recommend downloading the latest from the web as well.

I have done of that....and I still get the same messages......

Right click on My Computer>select Properties>Performance>and Graphics. Make sure the acceleration is slid all the way to the right to full. Jim

did you try uninstalling the screensaver. have you ran dxdiag.
