Dim the Display on KX-TDA50 phones?

Hey does anyone know how to dim the display on a Panasonic TDA50 pbx using both KX-DT500 and KX-T7600 series phones? The display is about as bright as a nightlight in a home setting.

Go into user programming, press PROG softkey for that. Use the up and own arrows to scroll through the user options. There should be a contrast option. For bedrooms in homes, we always set the backlight to automatic. That will only light up the display when the phone is ringing or in use.
