My computer tek recently "rebuilt" my harddrive - unconditional delete or format (I don't remember exactly) and then reloaded software. The screen brightness is just a bit low - even on the highest setting on the laptop adjustment buttons. Is there any way to brighten it up?

Thanks, Ken

Did he reload the proper drivers for your graphics? That would be my first stop installing new drivers since you have turned up the bightness on the screen as much as you can.

Or it could be that your backlight is starting to break, which usually means having to throw a lot of money on the laptop as its almost as expensive replacing a faulty screen if its outside the warranty as it is getting a brand new laptop.

Try the drivers see if it helps.

Thanks for the tip! I typed before I thought

After posting the message I went into control panel and adjusted it there and that worked.

Thanks again, Ken
