Just took 2 Digital Station Expansion Module 30's and an Analog Station Expansion Module 30 out of the box and powered them up. the first Digital Station Expansion Module 30 has a solid yellowish Led. The other 2 Modules have a flashing green Led.

I am assuming the module is bad but thought i would check here first to see if anyone has any idea's.

Thank for your time.

Could it be orange?
If you connect it to an IP500v2 then it will upgrade automatically and shows a orange led (could be red but not sure)

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

What release is the IPO?
I had similar issues on a 8.1.69 I believe, upgraded to 8.1.73 and expansion modules worked.

thanks guys. I powered up the IPO and all 3 expansion mods now have solid green lights.

I guess i just don't have a lot of faith in these expansin mods.

They take 5-10 mins to auto upgrade once the main chassis is up and running on first power up, make sure it's upgraded properly as if interrupted by powering down while upgrading it can cause funny issues like half the ports working and half not :)

Power on the expansion modules first. When they all start blinking green, that's when you want to power on the control unit. If you do it too soon, it probably won't sync up with the modules. If they don't blink green, then it's time to get out your serial cable.
