digital photo colors distorted

When I bring a digital photo into quark, the colors are much different than they appear in photo shop. A very blue background appears greenish. This doesn't happen with photos that I have scanned. What's up?

I often ignore quark previews, just be sure quark is not converting the images colorspace (Preferences--CMS).
