Digital or Analog Cordless handset with Caller ID

I have a CS1000m r7.5 and we've been asked to provide cordless handsets with Caller ID capability. Right now my analog phones do not have caller ID function but can be cordless. I can setup digital phones with caller ID function but i can't find a cordless solution. Does anyone know of any options or how we could make it work? We thought about putting the users extension on both a digital phone with caller ID and an analog cordless but this will require twice the copper for every client that wants this done. Copper is limited for us.

The analog cordless will require a class modem card and licenses. Your other option is IP cordless, which will require a whole host of other things you may not already have.

We utilize SpectraLink's (now Polycom) 900Mhz LINK 3000 system with LTB100 phones. There is a chassis with a power supply, controller card and interface slots that hold SpectraLink interface cards (CPN316 for Nortel integration if I recall correctly). These digital interface cards emulate Nortel's Model 2616 phone. You would obviously have to install SpectraLink's RC400 Wireless Access Points for coverage. Maybe a little pricey for what you're looking for but they work great. Multiple line appearances, message waiting indication, transfer, conference, hands-free speakerphone, etc. They are not as popular as they used to be but even Lowes and Home Depot were using these in their stores for a long time.

Thanks for the responses. It's hard to justify spending a lot here when its only a couple of individuals requesting this option. We're thinking about putting a Digital set on their desk which provides caller ID and an analog cordless set on their desk. They'll have 2 lines with the same number. This way they'll be able to see who's calling while at their desk and still be able to use the cordless (the cordless won't have caller ID but its better then nothing).

Why don't you try one of these phones:

You can still get them on the refurbished market. Look them up on ebay as well.

I also found this Aastra set that digitally functions only with Meridian 1 systems:

This would be a much more clean option than getting the analog set.

This may not matter but when you put the same DN on a digital and a analog, you lose the privacy for that line. If someone picks up the digital while on the analog, they can listen in. Just an FYI....
