Heres a simple one... I hope...

We have a training lab here, the instructors want it so that the students can simulate real calls to emergency numbers, internal extensions, etc... but have EVERY call ring to a 1 designated phone where the evaluating instructor will be sitting. Another words, if I dial Ext. 2121 I want it to ring to Instructor station 5000. If I dial outside 602.555.2121 (police station) I want it to ring to Instructor station 5000. So again regardless what is dialed, they want it to ring to 5000. I've dabled with Digit Conversion, but I thnk I may be barking up the wrong tree...

Any ideas??? I remember doing this in WCR school, but that was years ago... thanks in advance...

I did this once to a guy in the Network group. Every time he used his phone it called a Sex line.(pretty funny) I set up a new cor the used an unused time of day routing to a new route table and did my digit conversion there. The phones for the students get the new cor and time-of-day routes. Look!!! New Buttons

By using a different time of day routing table you can direct the calls to a new route table. No matter what number they dial, you can delete the max number they can dial.

Internal numbers can be done with udp and aar digit conversion. The external numbers should be done with ars digit conversion.

HRmm.. the I'm confused on the Time of day routing screen. My brain is fried I guess... I think the first would need to be done somehow in the aar or UDP screen like "clausen" mentioned, but lost there too.. oh well

Another thing we want to do with this is, make it so when folks dial a 4 digit extension, it deletes those digits and inserts 7 digits.

So I would dial 6556, this would be deleted, and the switch would insert 1617555 for example...

Any ideas??

What I did for your last question. We have a site in Florida to dial them we dial 935xx 9=out side line 35xx extension. So its a five digit dial. In my ars table I put a line in there that states anything statring with 35 goes out route 25. Route 25 looks like this below

Pattern Number: 25

Grp. FRL NPA Pfx Hop Toll No. Del Inserted IXC
No. Mrk Lmt List Digits Digits
1: 14 2 200 1 0 1305913 user


This will just add the 1 305 913 to what has already been dialed. O and in the ars table I had to mark it as "locl"
as the Call Type. Look!!! New Buttons

Alright... revisiting hopefully 1 last time for this one...

The second part of my question worked well, thank You. Back to the first part however. If the students in the lab dial any number (4-digit ext, 7-digit local, 10-digit LD) they want it to ring 1 designated extension.

Maybe a little more detail on the aforementioned screens (Time of day routing, route tables)...?

Your ext. will need to start with 99xx. Make sure there are no other extension that start with 99 or they will be changed as well

Good day once again...

On the last part of this you mentioned,
"Your ext. will need to start with 99xx. Make sure there are no other extension that start with 99 or they will be changed as well"

I'm confused about the extensions starting with "99"???

If my extensions range from 2100-2199, 3000-3199, 4100-4299, 5400-5999 how would I use 99XX as my extensions???

I believe it is very simple, but can't see the light...

To recap: I want to dial any extension within my switch from the lab and have it converted and redirected to extension 5555 (the instructor).
