I have big trouble to install a Open Server on a machine, the thing is that i have two Scsi cards one Adaptec 2940 Ultra Wide for the harddisk, dat and cdrom then i got a 2944 Ultra Wide / Differential for a Raid. The scsi setup finds everything ok so there is nothing wrong wiht the hardware or termination. I have installed with the newest scsi drivers both from Sco and Adaptec. The problem is that the machine hangs at faladinit. Has anybody a clue what to do ?

Install Linux? ;^D
Seriously, have you tried removing the 2944UW SCSI card and booting? (Presuming you system disk is on the 2940.)
If so, does the system boot all the way?
It's been a while since I got heavily involved on an Open Server setup, but I recall there being a section in the installation manual that deals with boot-up problems. That may give some clues as to what is failing.
Are you in a position to do a total re-install of the machine? If so, I'd give that a try, making sure that you specify the new drivers during the setup. It might be that the latest drivers aren't being picked up for some reason.
Good luck, and let us know how you get on.
