I am using cr9 against a sql2k db.

I am building a report that will generate appointment reminder cards for a medical clinic. When the report is run, it should print the cards on printer1 (epson dfx5000+), and the report on printer2 (hp 4250tn).

How do I format the subreport to be on standard letter sized paper, while keeping the parent report on cardstock?

Thoughts? MH

Can't be done with Crystal alone, but have a look at the list of 3rd-party Crystal tools at:
My Visual CUT software allows you to achieve this in 2 different ways:

1. by indicating that after each bursting step, another report (what used to be your subreport) should be processed (passing to it a parameter value of the current Group value in the main report.

2. by allowing you to embed formulas within the report that act as printer tray "tags". You can schedule the export to pdf and a printout of the resulting pdf file, and the tags would cause different pages to be printed from different paper trays.

view, e-mail, export, burst, distribute, and schedule Crystal Reports.
