Client wants doorphone to ring differently than the incoming lines so they can discern between the front door and inbound calls. Any ideas?

I was thinking about an auxillary ringer/chime, but that would defeat the original purpose.

Thanks,

Distinctive rining only applies to lines... can't change the ring on door phone. Aux ringer would have to be paired to a DN which means any time that DN rings (line or intercom) chime goes off. Afraid your out of luck.

You could use a door bell.

$2 mil dollar homes don't have doorbells! That is sooo middle class... :)

What if I have the doorphone ring the "aux ring" DN and make it appear only on the other sets?

that would work. you'll hear the chime and see the lamp flashing
