Hello,

I am hoping someone can instruct me on how I can change my Access Database icon. To clarify, to get into my Access system, I double click on a standard access icon (the one with a sheet of paper and a small key at the top left). My question is, for cosmetic reasons only, how can I change that icon so that it is something else of my choosing?

I tried this once and I received an error message like : "...doesn't not recognize the file type...". I'm not sure why I received this message even though I kept the file type as .mdb

Thank you very much.

You change the Desktop Icon property in the Shortcut's Properties Sheet, NOT in Access.

Right-click on your shortcut, select Properties from the pop-up menu and click on the Change Icon button.

NOTE: This will not change the displayed icon within your Access application.

To change the icon that is displayed on the Taskbar and on the TitleBar when your application is running, open the application and then select Tools|Startup from the menubar. Set a path to your desired icon in the Application Icon textbox.
