difference between HP q1522a and q1522b

Hi all,

Is there an explanation what is the diff between those two units.
Why ask:
I have to change old q1522a with q1522b I thought that will be very easy. when I connected the new unit it wasn't recognized by the system.
(server is IBM xseries225)

Thx for any kind of hint.
