DID & Tie Lines

We have a MICS with a T-1's worth of tie lines between two locations. We use target lines to translate the station to station dial across the tie lines. ( our Station numbers are 3 digits). We are now adding a PRI with DID. ince some of the DID numbers are like 3000, 4000, 9000, the telco must send us four digits. I don't see how we can have some target lines receiving 3 digits from the othr building while another group of Target lines is receiving 4 digits from the c.o. As I see it the two choices I have are manual between the two stores, in other words use the attendant... or change both buildings to 4 digit dialing? HELP!

What release are you on? You should have a private (station to station) and public (CO) receive#

6.1XC. As I understand it, I have one place to enter the number of digits received. The PRI must be 4 and T-1 has to be 3 or I have to change all the station/ voice mail number to 4.

The CO can still send you 3 digits. Have them send 111 for 3000, 112 for 4000 etc. as long as your not receiving over 1000 numbers you can do it.

The C.O. can send something besides the phone number??

Yes they can even change the SEND NUMBER. You dial 555-1111 they can send 222 if that's what you want. At least here they can using Verizon, Sprint, & Bell South.

Interesting, I am dealing with Sprint and they have given me no hint they can do that. I'll call them! Thanks.

try asking them for drop/insert digits ...thats another name they use

Ok,,, the key word fro sprint is "digit manipulation" they unbderstand that and will change my conflicting digits. THANKS A BUNCH!
