I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post but figured I might get some responses since I'm inquiring on phone recording problems.
We have a Dictaphone Freedom recorder unit. It archives on a DVD-RAM and recording is activated via the electrical impulses on the phone line.
The unit is breaking some single calls up into multiple recordings. Not sure why this might be happening. It isn't a matter of putting someone on hold, mute, etc. Any ideas?

try changing the detection levels, if they are set too low when the voltage drops the rec stops. I have seen this with vox detection recorders.

The two basic principles of Windows system administration:
For minor problems, reboot
For major problems, reinstall

Check to see if the ports have "hook flash" and "rotary digits" set to "no" on the voice ports used.

Sounds like the unit is in VOX. Try increasing the VOX hold time.
