dialup to broadband email problems

Hi recently change from dial up to broadband.

Now every time i open up outlook it asks me if i want to go online to check mail boxes(but i already am online)i click yes and it diconnects then i have to click recconect and it connects back to broadband and checks the email. having to do this every time i want to check my email.

What do i need to do to sort this out. really annoying and time consuming

Click on Tools>Options and then choose the maail setup tab.

Click onto E-mail accounts and then "More Settings2 in the new window that appears.

On the general tab, make sure it''s set to 'automatically detect connection'. Click onto the connection tab and choose 'connect using my LAN'

Got it sorted.

My options were a bit different. Im probably using an older version of outlook. But managed to find what you suggested. Works lovely now
