Hey guys,

just wondering if you can dial a number from a webpage when surfing the net? almost like surfing with a iPhone or Droid...when you see the number you can click on it and it will dial.....

do you need any licenses to do this? or can this even be done?

Yes you can.
You need:

1) One-X Portal (server)
2) Officeworker, Teleworker or Poweruser licenses (users)
3) One-X Portal Call Assistant installed on a Windows machine.

You then can dial any number that you can select on the screen (if configured)

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

A quick and dirty way is cut and paste the number into Windows Dialer which can then dial using Avaya TAPI.

Windows Dialer comes with Windows up to Vista at least although you may have to look around for it.

I have heard of software that can dial numbers on Web pages via TAPI although I've not tried this - has anyone any experience of this ?

Or just read the number and key in on your phone, keeps you healthy and keen. Only clacking around makes you fat as a ....

Yo can of course cut and paste a number into PhoneManager from the 'make a call' button.

Dont forget, not all web pages show their numbers as TXT, a lot are actually .jpg or .gif files...
