Hi Folks,

We are looking into changing the outside line access number from 9 to 7. On my 5621, if I dial number from the call log, it wants to prefix the number with a 9. How can this be changed to a 7?

Thanks,
-Russ

Oops. In the subject line I meant to say Dials 9, not 0.

Look at the Line section of Manager, and change the Prefix from 9 to 7

Thanks, h382. It'll require a reboot so I'll let you know how it goes later. FYI, the Prefix field is blank. 9 is assumed?

No, the 9 is coming from the phone settings file. Its worked for you because I suspect you only have IP phones and no apps.

So change the 46xxsettings.txt file setting for ## SET PHNOL 9 to SET PHNOL 7 and restart all the phones. (the IP Office recomendation is that you disable it using SET PHNOL "" and add the 7 using the line prefix as that will work for all phone types and IP Office applications).

Very cool, sizbut. That worked.
