Hello,

I got a request to change the zero option from one extension to another. I traced the track calls take when someone dials in on the associated 800 number to a VDN. I then looked at the Vector it was associated with but didn't see any type of Zero out option.

Where am I getting lost? I'm not familiar with Vectoring & VDNs....

Help!

Thanks
Steve

The zero option can be found in the voicemail system. Sometimes it is found in the vectors, as a
"route-to number XXXX with coverage Y" command.

If the 800 number points to a vector. Read the vector as if you are coming into the vector as a customer. Follow the conditions down line by line and you will find a line that may route-to or messaging split command. The extension number on the Messaging split command line may point to a mailbox that has the dial 0 in it. or the vector may be an auto attendant vector that routes the call to an extension if no other conditions above the route-to line are true.

Confused!!, not really. Just follow the vector line by line and it will make sense how the caller is handled.
