Hello,
I have a Dell Dimension 8200 that came with a Conexant v.92 data/fax/voice RTAD modem ( I've found that it's actually manufactured by GVC Ca but the chipset is Conexant ) and a Creative Labs Sound Blaster Live! sound card running Windows XP.
Unfortunately the speaker on the modem really bites, the driver volume slider only allows an on / off status, and seems to ignore AT commands to make it louder.
The modem has an internal cable to that goes to the sound card.
What I'd like to do is port the DIAL UP tones to the sound card so that I can hear it dial up to my ISP ( basically I'd like it to do what it does with the internal speaker but sent to my sound card. )
Dell Tech Support can't seem to help... I've emailed GVC but gotten no response yet... this is a problem because I'm in Dad's office ... he has a loud A/C unit near where my computer is, and I have to put my head near the box just to see if it's dialing or not.
Any help would be appreciated.
