Hi guys,

When I click on ‘My Computer’ for the first time in each Windows session my ‘Dial-up Connection’ appears?

It’s only been happening during the last couple of days, but its already starting to annoy me!

I’m also getting frequently re-directed to ‘startnow.com’ when loading my home page or coming to this site for example?

I’ve run a full Norton Vscan and a full Adaware scan. Both have found nothing untoward?

Can anyone help?

Cheers,

SW.

Set your ISP Dialup Connection to "Never Dial a Connection" via IE/ Tools/ Internet Options/ Connections.

See if there are any strange entries in your Start items when you run MsConfig from Start Run.

Hi goto your IE properties and click on the connections tab! Once you are there disable dial up connections! Adaware also spams crap on your comp! Also make sure that you dont have messenger open because it allows crap to pop open from windows! To disable that go to start, run and type services.msc then scroll all the way down to messenger and click stop and disable!

I've been using AdAware for many years (along with Spybot), and have never seen any spyware caused by AdAware. If it was, Spybot would find it. Also, be sure WHICH messenger you disable (MS Messenger or Windows Messenger).
