Suddenly, the dial up connection on my pc has stopped functioning. when i press 'connect'on the existing dial-up numbers that I use there is simply zero response. i rebooted the pc and deleted and reinstalled my dial up number, but the darn thing is completely dead. the icon changes color when i click on it, but that's all. have the same problem with the new dial up connection wizard. That is, when I try to run the wizard it works until I get to the conntect to the internet/connect to the work place, the wizard doesn't respond. i run xp professional. The modem works fine. It's really frustrating - any help would be much appreciated.
