Hi,

We are currently running a CTI application and its server is connected to our Meridian Option 11. The problem is during peak hours of calls, there are instances where the system and the DNs are experiencing no dial tone problems.

Do you think that adding NTAK03 on the sytem will resolve the problem?

Thanks

how many stations, what percent is peak? rls?

and on the command line are you getting err/bug/sch codes or is the switch running clean.. another thing that can do that, 30 not being in drol.. i would inv generate midnight, and see if there are dozens of sets programed that are unplugged or swapped? all of those can cause backplane/ram/cpu overload

I think this is an overload issue, because we still receive the same problem even if we added a new DTR card. What are the other options?

Adding NTAK03 might help, but you can verify this by looking at your traffic reports TFS003 for the busy hour (should be all 0's). If they are you probably don't need a DTR, especially if you have the issue on digital sets.
You may need to increase call registers or buffer sizes, such as CSQO and CSQI, but a need for these should be indicated by a TFS or ERR message being output (make sure these are on for the port you are watching)

I am not an expert the time slot and loop capacity in the 11 series, but I'll take a guess the system ports are not spread around the Option11 as well as they could be. Take into account the trunks, etc... as well.

"No dial tone" could be a few things. Is it only analog, or is it after dialing 9, or is it digital only, or both. Is it "slow dial tone" so if you just wait it will eventually arrive. Or is it no tone and you have to hang up to try again. All clues I'd want to know.
