Never ran into this one.

New install 8.1.XX w/ip sets and 2 T'1's
SCN with other location

Issue:
The users starts to dial a 10 digit number but might look over their shoulder for 3 to 4 sec for the rest of the number and the carrier returns a message " your number cannot be completed as dialed" before they can finish dialing.

Timers are not really working for them.Delay timers are effecting their 4 digit calls to long

I have the timers set to :
Dial delay time is set to 4
Dial Delay count is set to 10

Carrier tells me they cannot do anything..

I have never ran into this issue with other T1s
I explained En-bloc but they dont want to go that route

any ideas? Thx

It's only dialtone!!!

ARS has it's own timer, so send it there not straight out the trunks, also/or use xxxxx's with proceeding digits to hold off dialling until a relevant match is found and use the ; character for numbers of varying length :-)

Also put the dial delay count back down to 5 (or 1 higher than extn length), no point it being on 10, it will only cause issues :-)

Whammo I think thats what I needed amriddle
I never noticed the ARS timer. Guess I never really needed it before.

It's only dialtone!!!

So for future issues would you include XXXXXXXXXXN; in your ARS
I would hate to break it own to the area code 1207XXXXXXX;

It's only dialtone!!!
