I have a problem whereby callers get disconnected whilst trying to dial external numbers if they take too long to physically dial the number on the telephone? If you know the number of hand and input it quick enough then the call completes no problem. However, if you take to long or pause during the dialling process (perhaps to lookup part of the number) if cuts you off and you have to start again!

I've looked at ODT and DDL seetings on my route but it's the same as another site which works fine. Copy of the RDB is below:

Cheers.

ddl dial delay timer is time before the 1st digit. then the mfe timer starts after the 1st digit, if that is met then the eod end of dial timer starts, so after the 1st digit, time between digits is the sum of mfe+eod.. i have never had to adjust that, and us people is south carolina do not do anything fast..

might try dialing all digits then press the line key, see if that still drops off. it might be a central office problem

Compare the NIT (Network Intedigit Timer) in the CDB of the two switches.

Changing the NIT from 4 to 8 (as it is on our other sites) did the trick.
Thanks for your help, much appreciated.
