We just changing our T-1 Carrier and i just got a call from someone that he has to dial 1 to call his house, before, he never dial 1. We have 5 local T-1 and 2 long distance. When i dial that number, there is a greeting saying that the number you dialed is a long distance number, you have to dial 1... I do not get busy signal, so i guess it the switch do not block the call. we have nortel 81 c. Can someone help me?

Thanks much

you need to check to make sure that you are sending that call to your local t, and not your ld t.. i assume it's a nxx..

ld 90
prt
net
ac1
nxx
xxx.. the 3 digit exchange that your having trouble with. look at the rli

ld 86
prt
rlb
x (the rlb from ld 90)
then look at the route that call is going to..

if your not sure of your routes ld 21 ltm will show you the trunks in each route...

if that is not the porblem, your local carrier needs to fix their end, they don't have that nxx entered as a local number..
