We use DHCP for our Ethernet Network. However one of my users (yes, only one) doesn't get an IP Address when he boots up\logs on to his machine (happens to be my boss). If he does a /renewall he gets an IP address fine.

There are no error's in event viewer on the DHCP server and there are plenty of addresses not allocated.

Strange, but what could I check next?

Thanks,

Jane

maybe try unistalling all of the network software on the client. i have found that if you reintall the redirector on a machine it will sometimes resolve those "weird" issues. i am assuming that all of the settings at the client have been checked and checked again. keep us updated on the progress

another thing to try, is add a reservation for the client on your DHCP and put in their MAC addy.
