My SBS2003 box has just stopped issuing IP adresses. It reports DHCP as working, I have re-installed DHCP and authorized it, but all I get on clients is limited or no connectivity.

Any ideas? I seem to be free of viruses etc, and behind a hardware firewall, nothing has changed on the network or server.

Thanks

Is DNS running ???

yes, of course. I can't see anything obvious.

try putting a fixed ip address in the client and pinging the server/router---- of course :) broken hardware we looking for first. ok

Nope, none of that. no pinging either internally or from the server outwards...

I think maybe some nasty bug got in,

Fixed it by reformatting!!!

Thanks all :)

nothing like a reformat for the user ---->saves buying a book lol
