I have an NT server on a static IP address. Every few days the server appears to request an IP address from the DHCP server - the result is several messages appear in the Event Viewer (I assume that the server is requesting an IP address from these event viewer messages) (see below):
DHCP received an unknown option 00x of length 00x.
DHCP received an unknown option 00x of length 00x.
The server does NOT have the RAS service loaded although it may have had RAS in the past - I am unsure about this.
Are there any registry entries that could still be present that control this request on behalf of the RAS client.
