DHCP Issue

Has anyone experienced the 46XX phones getting ack errors when booting up? We have a client with a 2k3 dhcp server and 2 vlans. Vlan1 for data. The phones boot fine into this scope and pull option 176. The 176 option sends the phone to vlan20. When the phones try to boot into vlan20 and pull dhcp they randomly get ack errors on the screen. Normally, they will eventually pull the address, but the phone may reboot 5 or 6 times due to these errors before working.

in the first place i'd check network connection and lan switches setup. then i'd try to check dhcp server itself for any error log entries. if everything's right, i'd use network sniffer to get full detail of what's going on in the network.
