DHCP Errors 1

I am receiving errors in my dhcp server log listed below that update failed any ideas what may be causing this.

30 DNS update request to the named DNS server
31 DNS update failed
32 DNS update successful
50+ Codes above 50 are used for Rogue Server Detection information.

Looks like all your requests to create PTR records are succeeding, but your requests to create/update regular A records in the toyotomi.tac zone are failing. Is that zone on your DNS server configured to accept dynamic updates?

It looks like after the first bunch of failures, either things started working fine or the DHCP server stopped trying to register A records altogether, although it still kept registering PTR records.

Most of these errors are coming at night and on the weekend when most of the computers are shut down could this be the cause of the error. Can I adjust the schedule on when the serve cleans up the database or is this not possible

You can adjust the schedule. The default is to clean up every 24 hours. The registry key is:

HLKM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\DHCPServer\Parameters\DatabaseCleanupInterval

It should be set at 1440 by default. Changing it to 720 would cause it to clean up every 12 hours.

Alternately, you could use a command line to make this change:

On your own workstation, go to a command line. enter "netsh", enter "dhcp" enter "server \\%servername%". Use your DHCP servername in place of %servername%. Now you can type "help" to see available commands.

"set databasecleanup interval /?" will show you what parameters you can use to change the cleanup interval.
