DHCP confilict , help

Hi

I have problem with my home small LAN. I have 3 pc, 1st one is is the internet sharing pc, and the rest 2 are just simple clients. One one of the clints that is using win 2000 server I installed Active Directory and just to test, DHCP server. Next time i restarted my pc (the pc with win 2000 Ser. DHCP server) and open IE brawser I got blank page, and when I tipe the IPCONFIG in command promt I got wsocks32.dll error, and the second client can not has the same fing i mean can not use Internet. My Machine has 2 OS, win Me and win 2000 serv. I restarted with win Me hopping that the Internet going to work this time because this OS has nothing to do with the 2000 Server but I was wrong, even though i couldn't access Internet. Ooooo the LAN is workgroup LAN not DOMAIN.

Ok that's it my Long story.

1 more thing. Somebody told me that if there are 2 DHCP server there might be confilct. Also, my friend told me that they have something similar in school and they have to change every w/s registry and server registry entry. What should I do to get IP address from my pc that shares the Internet Conection??? I tried everything i pinged the Gateway PC, i user renew_all just frease up. On second client after typeing ipconfig in command prompt I get IP 0.0.0.0 Submask 0.0.0.0.

Please help.

In order to install AD you have to have a domain (new or existing).

ICS(internet connection sharing) creates it's own DHCP server when you install it. To install ICS:

Also verify that you have a good connection to the internet and that your clients have good physical connections, can you give them a static IP and ping them from your other clients or server? Can you ping the internet?

HI

No I can not ping anybody and anything either by name or by IP address. From weird reasons I can see from pc_2 (win 2000 server ) myself pc_2 and pc_3 (win Me) but not the pc with internet sharing.
