I have a unique situation that I am trying to resolve remotely. I'm in Las Vegas and the Option 11 (on release 23) that needs the work is in Oklahoma City.

OKC has 3 loops (Local, Long Distance, and a Tie to the Aspect phone system). Route 5 is their long distance on Loop 4. Loop 4 has a D-channel (DCH 10) where Loop 2 (the local circuit) does not.

We have a few users that receive calls on their cell phones from the office that want to be able to see the caller ID rather than 'Unavailable'. I am trying to test this in Las Vegas first before going further in OKC.

I have gone so far as to test this locally with a maintenace set by direct selecting the loop and channel. This way does give me the number I want to see. The problem I seem to have is creating a program setting to select the long distance path, insert 1702, and connecting properly. It gives me a fast busy when I dial 493XXXX.

I created the CDP DSC with my full 7 digit cell number, used RLI 21 that points to Route 2 (My long distance in Las Vegas) with DMI 32 (that inserts 1702). I cannot use just the last 4 digits due to the last 4 match an existing CDP DSC to another site. Is the problem that the DSC is 7 digits in length? I would think if it was a problem, then the switch would kick it back and not let me program it. Thoughts? Thanks.

Additionally, I am able to get this to work with just a dummy 4-digit internal extension, but when I go above 4-digits, I get the fast busy even though I went in and changed the DMI to DEL 5.

try killing the 1, most ld carriers don't want the 1. you can program a 7 digit dgt insert, i have a few that do that. your dialing from an ext, 7 dgt dsc, the frl, is lower then the ncos. you can dial 9 1 702 493 xxxx from the same phone. check the msgo on the d channel.. nothing in the switch will stop you from doing that.. i could see the block if you were dialing from out side and turning it around.. another thing i would try, is either a phantom, rcfw to 9 1 702 + or a maxp 1 acd ncfw to the same number.

fyi i have a did (1100)that, when dialed goes to an acd that is ncfw to my cell which is a ld number, the only work around i had to do was ncfw to the acod of the ld route instead of the 9, i do get the clid when the call comes from a pri route, my ld are pri, and 16 of my 20 local t's are pri.. i worked in vegas for 5 years back when it was centel, nice town for a single man...

True, but why would it work okay with a 4-digit number but not a 5-digit number?

it should work with either, if your switch is optioned to allow 4 5 6 or 7 digit numbers, my ld route, has a dgt to delete the 1 on the ld route, i don't think it's the number length...

hint from a old installer, i make my loops match.. my 1st pri on my local is 18, the route is 18 the dgt is 18 and the dch is 18... makes it easy for simple people (like me)

do you have the DNXP package that allows for extensions greater than 4 digits. That is an upgrade if I am correct.

John

It appears not.

We don't put anything new options unless it is absolutely necessary. Heck, I had to beg and plead to go from release 21 to Succession 3.0. I do know that our roll over lines are 5-digits in length and can be direct dialed.

And here's the TRAC while it fails. For privacy reasons, I have removed the DIAL DN numbers:

ACTIVE TN 013 0 00 15
ORIG 013 0 00 15 0 SCR MARP 0 7098 2616
TERM NONE
TDTN 0 SLOT 19 PTY SLOT 19
DIAL DN *******
MAIN_PM REOR
TALKSLOT NONE
QUEU DIAL
CALL ID 0 138

NON ACTIVE TN 013 0 00 04 MARP

NON ACTIVE TN 013 0 00 01

I have also tried direct dialing our access code 2002 and dialing my cell. The information comes through perfectly, but when I attempt to insert 20021702 or 2002702, I get the fast busy. I tried a phantom and also got the fast busy. The only thing I have not tried with the phantom yet is the access code 2002 in the RCFW prior to the number. I'm about to try that next but not too hopeful there.

Okay, got it working at both sites now. I just need to let the people know who are trying to reach those cell phones to NOT dial 9 first, just treat it as an on-campus internal number. Thanks for the help.
