DFS Shares Empty

Got a user connecting over VPN. The user can access the DFS root, but when he tries to open a folder it comes back emptyj, 0 objects.

Permissions are fine, problem occurs using both \\addomain\dfsroot & \\ad.domain.com\dfsroot.
