ANY ONE HAVE A VIEW ON DFI KT400 PRO MOTHERBOARD RUN A XP 2600 CHIP ?????

I don't have knowledge of this particular model but as you say it has the Via KT400 chipset it is very unlikely NOT to support an XP2.6+, infact it is likely to support at least to XP3.0+
KT400 chipset motherboards may well have been surpassed in outright speed by the onslaught of Nforce2 mainboards but for reliability and compatibility the Via chipset is a more solid platform.
Note* KT400a chipset now available as well (new and slightly improved variant) Martin

Replying helps further our knowledge, without comment leaves us wondering.

Most motherboard manufacturer's are gearing up BIOS updates to be able to run Barton core CPU's (333mhz FSB) on KT400 chipsets. Check the DFI website, there may be something there for you.
As yet, the KT400a is proving a rare beast. Released in Europe so far, I have yet to see one in the US, although Gigabyte (and others) have models advertised on their sites, no vendors seem to be selling it.

Cheers,
Jim
