Device Wizard fails to scan devices, with "No devices detected"

Server is running Linux 7.3 with 2 Adaptec AHA-3944UWD scsi cards, OS sees the drives and robot but it fails on device wizard.

Dmesg shows the devices:

Vendor: QUANTUM Model: DLT7000 Rev: 245F
Type: Sequential-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 02

LTI Daemon is not running on the server for some reason.

Any help here would be appreciated.

Thank you
