I run NBU version 5.1 on my Windows servers. I have 3 media servers. Each media server has an internal DAT40/80 tape drive. On one of the media servers, backup span across tapes.
I have noticed that under Device Monitor, the server will be requesting for a media but on Activity Monitor, it doesn't show.
The last statement/display on the activity monitor is Begin Writing. The current kilobytes written doesn't change and the current files written doesn't change. But when I checked on the Device Monitor, it was requesting for another media.
On one ocassion, I assigned the media requested in the Device Monitor but on the activities monitor, the current kilobytes and files written weren't updating but the device showed activities into it. Later the backup bumped out with an error.
What could be the problem?
