In my device manager and with view devices by type marked, it only shows 1 icon and the word computer beside it. No +
symbol beside it to open it up. Any ideas???

any idea when this happened?...is all drivers seem to be functioning properly?(video,sound..etc)
one thing to try is to go to control panel/add new hardware and let windows search for and install everything it finds..
this usually happens here after i remove the ENUM key from the registry and reboot..windows finds what it needs but usually leaves alot out and need to be told to load it..
If this happened recently (as in yesterday or today) then you can probally run a scanreg /restore from dos and set the registry back to a date before this happened...
