Hi all,
For an hacmp need, i need to disable a device on reboot, therefore i would like to change a status in the odm to force that device not to be "cfgmgr'ed" on reboot (i tryed changing status flag in CuDv but it is useless). I would prefer not to have to do a rmdev after reboot.

If anybody has a hint ?

i want to have an x25 adapter defined when i boot

hi ,

this is an interesting problem , how are you getting on have you conquered it yet ,
I have some questions on x25 because i haven't really delat with x25 , does it have similar devices as normal network card i.e. the actual adapter setting e.g. ent0 and then the interface to it en0

if so you've probably done this , if you just do rmdev -l
(device) should put it to defined , on reboot in normal NIC it leaves it as defined

the other thing is there an entry in the Predefined object PdAt

i.e. try odmget PdAt ( make copy of it before odmget PdAt > savedpdat)
then remove the entry for x25 if there is one

odmdelete -q name= -o PdAt

thanks,
i will try to modify the PdAt then ... I remember doing this a LOOOONG time ago (leaving a device defined by hacking the odm but i dont remember where exactly...)
