Hey,
This is based on my last post but a slightly different problem.
I have developed an application in Access XP Developer's Edition on a Windows XP operating system, I have run the developer wizard to create the run time version. The application works fine on the development PC, and also on several other systems containing Windows XP operating system and office XP.
The problem is that when I have to install the application on a windows 98 system with office 2000. Now the run time seems to have installed, and the program actually loads up.First my pop up screen loads and the my password screen.
Now I've set my password screen to automatically load the Username and Domain name, leaving just the password to be entered, this then cheks the password, domain and username and logs the user in. But the problem is under this system it doesn't load the domain or the username.
To try and fix this I unistalled both the run time version of access and the original access 2000, so there would be no reference to an access file. Then I reinstalled my application complete with access runtime, and hey presto I have the same problem, it seems to just bypass the start up code, but works fine usually.
Any ideas
Cheers
Sam
